I’ve done it–I’ve made a video!
And here it is. I am so excited to introduce you all to the Ecclesiastical Latin of the Traditional Catholic liturgy, and I hope you get a lot out of this presentation. If you wonder what studying Latin with me is like, this is a sample. I’d love to hear your thoughts after you view the video. Cheers!
P.S. Course textbook is:
- Church Latin for beginners; an elementary course of exercises in ecclesiastical Latin by J. E. Lowe https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=njp.32101056309295&view=1up&seq=3
I studied Latin years ago and would like to come back to it through church Latin…thank you

I greatly appreciate your content.
I am in diaconate formation and I have been assigned to canonical studies by my bishop. I am bilingual English/Spanish but always wished I knew Latin. Now that I am studying Canon Law, and Latin is required for the Licentiate, I have my chance. Between working full time and being a full time student, I don’t have time for anything else. Let me know about tutoring because it looks like I’m going to need it!

Good for you! Latin is sure a brain workout, and it takes time, but it is worth it, and I think tons of fun, too. Send me an e-mail via the Contact page here when you have your schedule mapped out, and I can try to coordinate it with mine. God bless you!

One summer I taught 24 lessons of this class, but I only made a video of Lesson 1. So glad you found the video useful!
